What are the functions of heat – setting for industrial dust – removal filter bags?
1. Enhanced Filtration Performance
• Through the heat – setting process, a thin film, such as a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film, is laminated onto the surface of a common dust – removal filter bag. This effectively traps much finer dust particles, significantly improving the filtration accuracy. It can achieve a filtration efficiency of over 99% for dust particles with a particle size between 0.3 – 20μm, enhancing the dust – removal effect and reducing air pollution.
2. Improved High – Temperature Resistance
• The laminating materials generally have excellent high – temperature resistance. Some high – temperature filter bags can withstand temperatures of 200°C or even higher. This enables the dust – removal filter bags to maintain stable working performance in high – temperature environments without deforming, being damaged, or having their filtration efficiency reduced. It is suitable for high – temperature industrial fields such as steel, cement, and power generation.
3. Enhanced Corrosion Resistance
• The film can resist the erosion of chemical substances such as acids and alkalis. This allows the filter bags to work stably in industrial environments with corrosive gases, extending their service life. For example, it can play a good role in the dust – removal of corrosive flue gas generated in chemical industry devices such as catalytic cracking and hydrocracking.
4. Increased Wear Resistance
• It is equivalent to adding a protective “outer layer” to the filter bag. It can prevent the filter bag from being worn by dust particles, high – speed airflows, etc., reducing the damage to the fibers. As a result, the service life of the filter bag is extended, and the replacement frequency and maintenance costs are reduced.
5. Convenient Cleaning and Maintenance
• The surface of the laminated film is usually smooth, and dust is not easy to adhere to it. During the ash – cleaning process, the dust can be shed more easily, making the ash – cleaning more thorough and convenient. This effectively prevents dust blockage, ensures the normal operation of the dust collector, and reduces the maintenance difficulty and operating costs.
